INFANT

Global Science Kids Academy's infant program provides a nurturing environment for infants aged 6 weeks to 18 months. Our approach focuses on building secure, trusting relationships with caring teachers. We create a predictable, calm, and sensory-rich setting, respecting each child's unique rhythms. Young infants engage through their senses, so we offer developmentally appropriate toys, encouraging exploration. Soft cuddly toys aid in early concept development, such as texture, size, and color recognition.

TODDLER

Our program for toddlers, aged 18 months to 3 years, is designed to foster learning through hands-on activities and collaborative, creative experiences. Our teachers facilitate the development of large motor skills by organizing obstacle courses both indoors and outdoors, encouraging crawling, climbing, and running. Through activities like cooperative playdough making, children take turns scooping and mixing ingredients, promoting fine motor skills essential for emerging writing abilities. Cognitive and social-emotional growth is nurtured with puzzles, matching games, shape sorters, transportation toys, props, and various blocks. In a language-rich environment filled with joyful music, singing, rhymes, and storytelling, we support language development, cognitive growth, and social-emotional learning.

PRESCHOOL

Our program for preschoolers, aged 3 years to Kindergarten entry, focuses on building essential academic and social-emotional skills for a successful future. We use hands-on activities, like making 5-layer dip from a recipe, to teach comparison and measurement skills. Kids stretch rubber bands over pegs in a geoboard, creating shapes and describing spatial relationships. Tie-dyeing paper towels with colored water develops fine motor strength and coordination. Outdoor play encourages balance, with children exploring different shapes and sizes through dance and movement. To foster alphabet knowledge and emergent writing skills, we encourage finger writing and drawing in shaving cream.

AFTER SCHOOL

Children between the ages of 5 and 12 receive personalized homework support while engaging in activities aimed at nurturing their character development within our school community. They take part in both outdoor and indoor team games and challenges, fostering respect and camaraderie within the classroom. Students create personal life event timelines, sharing them with the group to cultivate historical thinking skills and an appreciation of their heritage. In classroom discussions, students collaboratively establish a set of rules, evaluate their fairness, and consider consequences for rule violations, instilling a sense of civic responsibility as valued community members. Homework is completed with teacher and peer guidance, and a variety of board and card games are employed to enhance maths, literacy, and speaking/listening skills through engaging rotation.

What parents say about us

We are very thankful to all the parents who admire our effortse

My son goes here. And he loves his school. His teachers are nice and I definitely think that they focus on each child's ability and focused on their learning. My son is 4 and knows how to read now, he knows how to do simple math and kindergarten worksheets. He's always excited to go to school and learn more.

My daughter is finishing up her first year in the preschool 3 year olds and I can so happy we sent her to Challenger. She just turned 4 and is able to read & write short books. And is starting basic addition & subtraction. She has learned so much and really enjoys going to school everyday.

I had an amazing experience at this school for my three year old. We left thinking we would find something better only because they don't offer languages and sports and no locations close to our home but we do miss it all the time. They are so organized and their curriculum is amazing. They offer just the right balance of fun with a high academic focus. I really liked how they incorporated music into everything they did and especially how the teach children to have a sense of personal responsibility for themselves. Great school- just please add languages and sports and a spring valley location so we can come back!
